Post subject: Installing seat belts- updated-ED wont fit

will EB or ED front seatbelts fit in a EA II (mounting), and are the bolts star in the EB. (ED are star bolts) if any1 knows.

I want to keep the ED seatbelt locks.

Yeah they will fit fine. EA series 2 onwards got the torx (star) bolts.

today found an immaculate car at the wreckers to take the front seatbelts from, a 93 and they wont fit in the chasis, there too big.

also the trim has the top bolt higher.

might just cut excess metal to make them fit next year if i dont find good condition ones that fit by tomorrow.

All fitted today.

Cut excess metal in the cavity on both sides and fits perfect now.

now i got some new easy glide belts..

That's weird I had a torn seatbelt in my old EA and got one from an ED wreck and it fit fine. I just reused the EA bolts. Oh well at least you got it sorted out.
