They turned a funny brown colour so i bought some chrome ones but im not sure how to get them off? theres like this fire proof mat under the bonnet do i need to take that off?

uhh you bought chrome windscreen washer jets did you? oh dear. they look much better when you pull them off and spray them black again you know.

yes you have to remove the matting, but only a few of the clips. they have a little clip on the jets, so you have to squeeze/and/or turn them to get them out, cant remember... either way it takes <5mins to replace them.
