I was under the impression that only 1st gear was different in the EA manual, but looking at the ratios in both books in my EA and EF they are very differnt
EA 1st= 3.50, 2nd= 2.14, 3rd= 1.39, 4th= 1.0, 5th= 0.78, rev=3.39 EF 6cyl 1st= 3.25, 2nd= 1.99, 3rd=1.29, 4th= 1.0, 5th= 0.72, rev= 3.15 and then contrary to what ive been told, v8 are differnt ratios too, i was told that the only difference is that the inputshafts on v8 ones are 35mm longer. that and the speedo gear is cut in the opposite direction.. EF V8 1st= 2.95, 2nd= 1.94, 3rd= 1.34, 4th= 1.0, 5th= 0.73, Rev= 2.76
