HI,
I know this has been talked about before, but has anyone done it?,have photos replacing the normal falcon AU dash with a AU fairmont dash ?

I want to replace the dash in a AU xr8 ute.

I belive that i would have to change the heater box as it be control with a wire lever as fairmont be eltric.Most your looms will unplug and fairmont looms should plug in ? You would have to change the BEM to fairmont .
Than its just time and hassel pulling apart and trying to put it back in ? :-p

If someone has photos of pulling dash apart/diagram of the au dash advice on this topic,please post

if you goto a wreckers and explain what you want to do they should be acommodate you with a dash and that, the thing is that you wouldn't need to drill or modify etc etc just get all you need from a fairmont or fairlane and plug and play..

Does anyone know,in a fairmont the BEM would be pink which is top of the range that can controll all climate reading for a fairmont dash.

Nomrally you would have to put this pink BEM in your car if i was to put fairmont dash in.

I discover that the ute has a pink BEM which shuld mean its the same as a fairmont BEM,so all wires should connect in the BEM i have in ute and shouldnt have a starting promblem when finish ?
