have a problem with my 6 cyl ED fairmont.have spark,injectors firing (tested with noid light) fuel pump working,imobilizer working,cranks fine but wil not start. Sounds like it is firing at the wrong time?CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE.

Could be shorting out in the distributor cap or arcing across the leads. Try cranking it in the dark to see if there's any visible arcing. Remove the distributor cap [with leads] and rotor button [an awkward job], marking the leads 1-6, and check for 'track marks' inside the cap or pit marks on the rotor.
Short of your timing actually being out, these things will give the symptoms you describe. Your fuel pump may be working but is your fuel rail actually getting fuel. If not you may just have a blocked fuel filter. Did this problem occur suddenly or have you been having other performance issues? Paul

thanks for response .have checked distributor cap ,rotor,leads,cleaned with spray,replaced faulty leads.removed rocker cover checked valve,distributor timing all ok. problem appeared suddenly parked car overnight running fine next morning wouldent start.
