i bought myself some 6 inch speakers for the ED the other day, only to find out after pulling the door trim off the LHF door, that the door is from an EA/EB1 (4 inch speaker)

obviously its been in a prang before we bought it and had a different door put on...

so can i just cut/grind out the speaker hole for the 6in speakre to fit? or is it a no-no?

cheers fellas

Just drill out the 4 rivets holding the box in place ,and then fit your 6" speakers in the same position.I did it to my EB1,originally4". Try to angle them towards the opposite seat headrest, with a bit of mdf,for better transmission of sound.

I also fitted extra speakers in the foot well cut-out of the door card while I was at it, so that when I get the new h/u I can wire them to the amp and have a very good front stage.
