I really really want this manifold...and am hoping that someone can help with info... Where the injectors sit, are they already drilled? And would the gaps suit the stock fuel rails? Im assuming the manifold is a Edelbrock Super Victor....

I'd say you'd have to drill the bosses that are there. The have allowance for them, but you'd have to drillem yourself.

would they be easy to drill? Is it something i can do myself or would it be an engineering shop job?

Probably an engineering shop job. Would need to use a milling machine with an appropriate tool to machine those holes to suit the injectors.

Yep you can drill them easy.. They are more for higher end rpm and better with forced induction where it low rpm torque doesn't matter...
Used mainly on 351 stroker's ... A boxed 5.0 / 5.8 truck lower EFI would work out easier...

the pic is from an XH Tickford ute with an EL XR8 front. its featured in the latest Extreme Fords #03. the manifold is a Ported Elderbrock Super Victor.

They usually don't come machined but I think edelbrock do a kit with rails and everything. Notice also that the injectors are straight up and down, not angled to fire at the back of the intake valve. Unfortunately almost all carb type intakes that have injector bosses cast in are in actual fact nitrous nozzle bosses which do not need to fire at the valve to work best...they just jump on the EFI bandwagon to sell more intakes.
Even the CHI intake I have for my cleveland is going need some welding to the "injector bosses" to allow correct injector angle machining. Pete. |

Yep std they are angled towards chamber and approx 20* angle...

take a look on the vpw website , they have the same sort of setup from chp (efi spydersystem) it comes with fuel rails & power elbow which can take upto a 90mm throttle body , you maybe able to get the elbow seperate?
