Now i know that there is a heap of threads on this site about spraying the interiors black but i have some questions.

When the paint is all dry is it a bit sticky to touch or feels smooth?
Which is better to use Septone or VHT
Can someone post a high qaulity stock EF Fairmont dash so i can play around on photo shop?
how should i prep the dash, just with Metho?
i know i have more but that is for a later date.

Lastly because i am a lazy git i will pay someone 50 dollars to come round to my house and do it for me. I live in Melbourne in berwick which is near the dandenong area

That supercheap stuff is crap, Ive used it and I ended up stripping it off. The finish was terrible and in parts after bout 6 mths it started to crack and flake. I used VHT and prepped it exactly the same way and the fininsh is 10 times better and have never had a problem with cracking or flaking. The supercheap "satin black" looks more like a flat black whereas the VHT one looks like a factory type satin fininsh. Supercheap = superCRAP .
Pay a few nore dollars for the VHT, its worth it !

well ive had mine on now 7 months, nothing has changed in its appearance yet, but the satin is a good finish imo, its certainly not flat balck and its not to shiny so it glares on the windscreen, ill post up a pic soon, only prob with it is that i did the wheel and its rubed off, but other than that its fine

Yours looks good, but I tried that stuff and I had about 4 cans that I bought , 2 from a different Supercheap shop and they were all crap- so its not like I got a bad batch or something. Maybe you got lucky with yours ! The ones I got were definately satin but had a flatter finish than yours.
Oh well Im happy with my VHT :)

no worries mate, only got 2 bottles to do the whole lot, but if i was going to do it again, i would defently recomend doing the whole interior, like the whole door, instead of doing two tone, the process whould be much quicker, and less of a pain in the a***.

Personal opinion, black is used WAY too often.. try in a pearlescent colour; i rekon the outcome would look way awsome! ;) for example, if ur car is regency red, use shanghai mica for interior.

Cheers!
