hello need help on clutch there is a clutch idle switch on the pedal but to were to plug it in to the ghias wiring loom is it needed or were do i wire it up too thanks

hi
afaik its not really needed unless you have cruise controle. its to disable your cruise controle when you press the clutch. there still should be a plug tucked away for it somewhere. my ea has the switch on the pedal box and has not been conected since i fitted a el ecu. |

ok there are to switches on the clutch pedal 1 is vacaum thats for the criuse control the other 1 is for idle this 1 i cant find were to plug it in on the eb2 fairmont ghias wiring loom most people think its for the criuse control not that 1 any help thanks

As far as I can tell, there should be a plug with a black/white and an orange/black wires above the clutch position. If the rain eases up I will check the 'Mont dash I just pulled [it's outside covered by a tarp] and see if I can locate it. It may be tucked up out of the way behind the climate control loom. Are the wire colours on your switch the same as I have mentioned? Paul

thanks for this yes those two colors with a funny plug on the end goes into the right hand side loom of steering wheel on eb cant find it on my eb2 ghia fusebox wont come out

finished installing t5 with ed xr6 manaul computer didnt need the idle switch on the clutch pedal runs sweetas way more power now over a auto best thing i ever done thanks for the help gareth
