my patrol didnt pass a roadie coz the sealed batterys didnt have were not vented
im not saying your wrong but i belive they do have to be vented dont ask me why its a joke is there a adr booket with the rules in it |

Off hand what battery did you have in there that didnt pass? maybe the inspector was a knob too...Like I was saying in the other post there seems to be a lot of confusion on what an actual sealed battery is...

Any word from the OP about running a earth wire from the battery - terminal all the way back to the engine bay's original - terminal. Be sure to use 2 gauge too.
Sounds like an earth problem. Modernish cars with spot welded panels/chassis do not have a very high current carrying capacity, so a dedicate earth wire may be required. As suggested, get a multimeter, and measure the voltage at the starter (or close to it - the factory battery terminals in the engine bay) when cranking, if it's too low, you'll have the problems you're experiencing.
