Can someone help. I have had this car for 3 days and it ran beautifully, got into it yesterday, and the smartlock was not flashing, and the car will not start. I followed book instructions and left car in on position for 30 minutes and tried to start it. All that did was drain battery, so i got a jump start and - wow, it finally started - after stopping the car - still no flashing of smartlock and the wagon would not restart. Can someone please advise.

Charge the battery, maybe the battery is just rooted. Could be your alt is not charging, so when you do get it to started using a jumper, she runs fine, but is not providing enough juice to keep charging the battery. My guess see a sparky and get him to test the battery, If you have a volt meter, hook it up when she is off, any less that 13v and the battery needs a charge. any less than 11 and it is rooted. If the voltage isnt 13.6-14 while running then your alternater is rooted

Thanks Brett, that was along the lines that I was thinking, but as I have never owned a car with a smartlock system I thought maybe it had to do with that. Thanks mate

Guess what everyone? - The auto electrician came out today, no it wasn't the battery, no it wasn't the alternator - it was...... a blown fuse! He replaced the fuse and PRESTO! My car is now running.
