lot of effort to change the input shaft and i would say the internals would also be differnt my advice DONT USE A 6cly box behind a V8

converter and bell housing are obviously different. The inout shafts are different the reverse input drum is different and the output shafts are longer than 6's. Valvebodys also have different type solenoids.

if you do get the 6 auto to bolt up and work it would be like pulling the pin on a hand grenade and waiting for it to go off
