hey guys, i have just purchased a ba xt wagon, and would like some advise as to where to purchase these items cheap and also can it be done.
I would like to put on a Typhoon F6 front bar, xr8 bonnet (buldge) and typhoon/gt side skirts with xr6/8 headlights. can it be done, im sure it can, but i want to make sure.

front will all fit but i dont think the skirts will fit....

One of the Forum Sponsors created an F6 Wagon not lopng back so yeah what you want to do is possible, just depends what you want to spend, Want original Panels, Try FTG, or theres Eby, Carmate.com or Newgel.com.au or awcinfo.com
there are plenty others. all depends on budget.

the bonnet, headlights and bumper would all bolt straight in.
the side skirts would need to be modified and extended what bout a rear bar?

No rear bar available at this time for a BA but there are TS50 side skirts for AU wagon and also rear bar pods for AU wagon. I believe that the AU/BA wagon are the same wheel base? Know the rear bar are the same dimensions.

BA and AU's are different lengths when it comes to side skirts.
atleast sedans are anyway, i think its the front guard.

AU/BA sedan differences are in the dogleg, park them side by side and see what i mean

yeh the sedans are almost totally different. but afaik the wagons only differ from the b piller backwards, the rest is the same (exteriorly tho)
so the au rear bumper pods and ts50 sideskirts should fit and front bar will too so your set

personally i dont really like the au kits. i prefer the bf kits.
i guess i have to mod side skirts to suit, from the sedan version. awc has very good items. dont know about newgel and the likes. my question is, which company is cheaper and which companys quality is good?

If you are going to mod BA/BF GT Skirts good luck. Can be done but not as easy as you think, Check the TS50 sideskirts , AWC and you might find them quite suprising. If you go to lengthen side skirts look ar the BA SR skirts, nice straight lines to join. Remember you need too sets to mod, you will gvet enought length out of them to make a set for a wagon and a set to fi an E series sedan. |
