if it is the same colour on a standard paint. Maybe 2000 - 3000 depending where you go and how much work they have to do. I was quoted $2300 for a respray paint of both sides and putting an XR kit on (supplied by me). The sides have to be sanded back to bare metal due to my car being keyed on both sides by faggots.

You could hire a spray booth and do it yourself. You'd save a heap thats for sure.

Its not cheap mate, between 3000 - 4000 , depending what you wont done and whether you want a decent job or average .. ya get wat ya pay for. I done all the prep work on my car , hired an oven and done full respray ( door jam`s , engine bay etc.) cost me about $700 . Thats including materials, paint, oven hire and a sh*t load of hours lol.[/quote]

Sorry to steal the thread, but MAN, I hate that. Why can't d***head just leave other peoples' cars alone, even if they don't like them. If they've got something to say, say it the driver's face... or even better, prove it on the track. I'm pretty sure they'd be cut if someone came along and did something scummy to their Excels and VL Commodores.

spraying the same colour will save loads of money on labour costs cos you could probably get away with doing the exterior panels only, otherwise you'd be scratching to find a professional paint shop that will paint a car a different colour without doing door jams, engine bay, inside boot etc. im lucky my dads business is smash repairs and i got a free respray :D (same colour), although i did all the panel work and prep myself.( which i didnt mind doing seeings as it was my car).
