wreckers...... maybe FTG for the flywheel maybe 70, then get it machined.... another 70 max.

Then you can buy the EBII onwards clutch kit, i got a hd one off ebay for 260 and that included spigot and thrust bearings and included postage. Sunbury brakes and clutch i think theyre called.

And theres nothing wrong with an EA box ratio's........ in fact i prefer them over the later model t5's.

First and second gear are shorter in the ea and have heaps of accelaration of the mark, but first gear doesnt respond very well if you change to a short diff ratio like mine, almost makes it too short.

Also 5th gear is slightly shorter in the ea, which means higher revs on the highway than later t5's, but not by much.

ok, if you got a T5, and if you want the performance but not too 'rev happy', then go with 3.45 lsd for sure, but if you want it geared like a mofo and dont care if your doing 2450rpm's at 100kph, and like effortless driving around town, then go 3.7's, lsd even more crucial.

yep the shifter boot clips straight in, you can try ftg although im not sure how readily available they are. The grey one is from the base models, and you can get a black one which is an EL GT copy, i bought mine off ebay for 45

Yes you need a manual ecu which are very rare, or you can add a couple resistors to the auto loom which is shown in the tech doco by voxace

Ok im gonna have to see if SVO can get the ecu for me, the black shifter boot would look good with my SVO black steering wheel.

Thanks for your help

Could i use this ecu or does it have to be EL?

thats exactly the same ecu im running.... might need a spare :)

hmm, i assume it would have to be el as your running a dizzy.

better off just doing the resistor trick to get the car running, and fitting a manual ecu down the track when you can. When you fit the manual ecu, all you gotta do is remove the auto loom plug with the resistor trick and it all works
