Aftenoon all,
Ive got a 2003 BA futura and my brakes are fooked. ie needs rotors pads and everything. So i want to take the oppurtunity to upgrade the brakes. The car has more power than it used to, and being a heavy car, i would like a bit of extra stopping power. I dont want to upgrade to the brembo's off the GT's or anything drastic like that. But as my knowledge is very limited, what are my options? Whats a good brand? and what prices am i looking at? Im keen to do front and rear upgrades, but if its not necessary to do the rears, then ill stick to just the fronts. All help appreciated. Cheers Dodd |

what size wheels do you have? if you've got 17's or bigger you can fit territory/BF Turbo brakes to it (bigger callipers, pads and rotors). I believe FTG sell the kits at reasonable prices too.

So ive spoken with FTG and hightek, and ive decided to go with a hightek kit. Im just doing the fronts for now.
The kit include: DBA 4000 series rotors (322mm) PBR Pads PBR calipers Braided lines Brake fluid And thats $995. Pick it up tuesday, and ill bang them on next weekend. The price looks a little high, but if it gets the results im after from a safety and performance perspective, im not too fussed. Ill throw some pics up on next week. |

thats basically teh same kit that Darren at FTG does.
Both are good kits and you notice the improvement with the PBR2 callipers!

Yeah it will be good to get some decent brakes... ive never really liked the stock ones.. they seemed a little underpowered for the weight of the car. Just my opinion.

yeah - the bigger ones are definantly worth the money
I have the ba premos on mine - the 325mm ones and they stop pretty good Very little fade

stay away form territory upgrade... got them on my BA, brakes wear in, start squealing, won't stop unless I change the pads, same again... Drives me insane! I take care of the girl, but she sounds s***!
