hi y'all.
i haven't been on here for ages but it houhght i'd come here for help, you are good at that. my eb isn't idleing well at all. especially early in the morning. i have to crank it over more than usual to fire it up and wheh i do it just isn't right. if you give it a rev she dropes off before coming back to a steady idle. the fuel pump (well that's what i think it is) is making a more audible humming noise coming from the boot now too. would it be fuel pressure problems, idle speed sensor. it's a bit worrying being she's nearly on 250K and i've had no major problems since i got it really. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks.

More likely; Leads, dizzy cap, rotor, plugs, vacuum leaks, dirty injectors, dirty ISC, to name a few

ithink you should be checking iac and maybe even the cts since it is in the mornings also if you have to keep cranking it it maybe loosing it fuel prime and taking a bit to build up pressure

Definately give the ISC a good clean or even replace.
Had that on my car and it fixed it 100%. |

ISC = Idle speed control Mounted on top of throttle body, round cylinder shape solenoid, mounted with 2 10mm bolts and a small wiring loom.

was doing some reading on the fordfuelinjection.com site and read about a device called a IAB, wich bypasses air over the butterfly in the tb, wich looks identical to what people think is a ISC, its used for cold starts to suck abit extra air in and when your at WOT, i might be d***head and the isc might be classed as the same thing but feel free to correct me
cheers chris

my mates car was doing this and the problem was he was low on water in his raiator and it was blocked. this lead tofluctating levels of water passing through the bottom radiator hose and over the senser this made his cars idol surge. dont know if its the same sort of thing but that is what his problem was

radiator is peachy. had it serviced a while ago. flow is maximum through the cooling system. could be a blockage in the motor though....
