I can't quite remember, but I think No, but in the EF/EL, you do.
I think on the EA to ED, you pull out the inst cluster to get the top nuts.

You may have to remove the steering column too, I think.

unfortunatly you do.
well atleast enough to undo the 3 bolts up the top. its the same thing with ef/el... you have to remove the consol undo and all the screws and bolts holding the dash to the body and undo the steering column pull the dash back about a foot and you can get to the bolts.. if your woried about damaging the interior i would remove the whole dash. i removed the whole dash to do mine.. |

I just did an EF pedal box today. Had to remove the centre console, the whole dash assembly and drop the column.
The moron that owns the car had been driving it for so long with the pedal box buggered, that it started to cut/wear through the clutch pedal, and the pivot pin on the top of the pedal where the cable hooks onto, was cracked, bent & had big grooves worn in it. So, made a new pivot pin for the top, put a new pedal box in ( modified it first before installation ), fitted a new clutch cable ( old one was fried from the exhaust ). Luckily, the firewall is all good.

My 88EA is a factory 5sp and the firewall has never cracked, and the pedal box has never been replaced or repaired. I have an RPM clutch in it now, has been for over 2 yrs, and no probs yet, touch wood.

Sorry Big Tilly, I thought you could just click on the link and view it as a visitor but not post unless you logged in.
Here's two I could find, damned if I know where the dash one's are. It's an auto but the attachment's the same. Cheers, Paul
