Hey guys,
I was thinking about installing one of these... http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetai ... 108&sid=11 How hard do you think it would be to install the sensor? (EF Mont) How much do you think it would cost? Could you just install a T join in the lines that go to the tranny cooler? Thanks in advance guys, Saiken

im guessing with the fittings supplied it is desgined to be fitted to the box where the cooler line comes out

they make it sound like you need to use a bung....... if you read the manual on that site, i was just wondering if there was an easier way.

You would normally mount it in the pan. As in, brazing a fitting onto the pan, at the rear, and screw the temp sender unit into the fitting, sealing it with a suitable high temp sealant.

I had a sensor bung welded into the passengers side of the transmission oil pan. I kept the sensor on that side so the exhaust (which runs uber close to the right side of the gearbox) didn't affect the temperature readings. Also allows you to run the sensor wire along with the transmission wiring loom.
