My mate got given an AU E Gas engine with low k's on it, and we are tempted to fit it to his EL that has a tired motor. the EL is dual fuel, but how well will the E Gas motor run on PETROL if we bolt up all the EL Manifolds, dissy etc? Is it likely to run ok on both fuels? it's just a BARE engine with no accesories so we'll be using everything off the EL. Will this work?

it should work in theroy because the au e gas motors didnt have the ingetors on the manfolds so if you use the el one it should be ok same block but a little less power

may need to run premium as i think the e gas may have got a hike in compression. not sure though.

If the compression is higher, and we only run it on premium or LPG, shouldnt it theoretically go better than a normal motor? will it go as good as a Tickford engine?

better than normal yes
might gain 5hp or so if that

tickford hahahahah NO WAY

the tickfords had diff cams and valves for 1 and different ecu programing

now throw in a nice cam and extractors and zorst, new diff ratio, high flow air filter etc
u should see a gooood improvement just like any car

Didnt a E-gas motor have a gas cam, different valves and ecu?
And isnt it about 30 odd Kw's down on the standard pertrol motor?
