We have nearly finished spraying my bros XE in blood orange, and we are wanting to know is it better to buff the paint for its shine, or to go a few coats of clear over the top?
just wanting to hear some opinions on it, or can you do both? |

i'll have a crack at this. from what i have read it is best to go for a few clear coats for a protective coat, and then buff that or wax it to get the max shine out of it.
i like the mandarine colour the metallic version of blood orange, but post pics of it if you can.

if you're happy with the unbuffed colour, buff it then keep it well polished, i'd only go clearcoat on metallics

yeah i remember you telling tony to clear coat it.
i think clear coat will be easier and probably last a little longer aswell. after seeing pics of your car (storm) the clear made the car look bloody awesome. |

also if you dont prep the car right before you you do and make sure the mix is right, if you dont you may find it could go yellow on you or peal.
not to hot and not cold, & try to do it in a dust free area
