Ok, More than likely I will be keeping the fairmont as all ive had is wankers ringing up and saying they will give me around $7500!!!
So yeah ive told them where to go.....

Anyways im still undecided on what to do mechanicaly.
The car is a slug at the moment so that needs major attention, This is what I have been thinking, But I just wanted some other peoples opinions and why they think that, It will help make my decision.
Also the car is getting converted to manual.

1.Turbo charge the engine with a garret gt42r roller bearing turbo.

2.Super charge the engine with a vortech blower as they are capeable of 15psi not a problem.

3. Ditch the 6 and put a worked au 5litre v8 in.

With all the above the engines will be stripped down and receive a full engine rebuild.

So what are peoples thoughts and why do you think I should go this way?

And if you can think of any advantages/dissadvantages.

depends how yoiu drive but i say turbo or supercharger. i'm leaning more towards turbo though.

that's all just based on cost and gains. throwing an 8 in is a whole heap more screwing around for no extra gain.

N/A your 6, or drop an 8 in it. Get good base power prior to t/c or s/c. Then watch and feel your power go through the roof.

I had a 6, then N/A'd it with IT'S Performance (160 rwkw). Whats next?; Manual conversion, stage 4 cam, chip, then t/c or s/c. It will be crazy.

Im a qualified mechanic so the stuffing around isnt a problem!
And I wont have to pay for any labour at all.

And as such im leaning towards a AU 5L manual conversion.
It cant be that hard.

I love the sound of a V8 and well I like to compete in burnout comps and as we all know any engine with forced induction runs hotter than a n/a engine especially when its at the redline for 2mins with jack all air running through the radiator/intercooler.

And I think there will be more room for improvements.
