G'day, just wanted to show my appreciation to all who have contributed. Being the owner of a EL XR8 I was pretty p****d when out of the blue it didn't start. I initially pulled out the starter motor only to find that there was nothing wrong with it, I registered here and found out the BCM is regularly the culprit. I sourced one from my local wreckers ($75.00, not as cheap as some have quoted here but as good as I could get) and all is good. Without the info here (eg, leaving the ignition on "on" for an hour and then marrying the keyfobs) I would have been screwed, I'm sure Ford would have charged in excess of $500.00. So once again, thank you all......I hope to be able to contribute in the future.
