hey guys,
ive got an el with a rebuilt engine n im contimplating turbo.
the bottom end has been balanced n built with 1mm ova sized acl pistons
it has a standard tickford head with dev 5 cam n double springs n comp is
up to 9.55.
its running multipoint magna injectors, slightly better than standard bosch fuel pump n standard ecu.
i was looking at getting a stage 2 or 4 snort kit but wasnt sure how it will run with the comp n cam.
n i also didnt want to hav to pull out $2000 for a comp n tune.
the only thing is im running 3.73s and the car maxes out at 150km/h n it hits that about 3/4 track.
jus wondering if any 1 can help.
cheers michael

you will need to get rid of the speedlimiter. theirs a bypass unit on sale at www.shiftkits.com.au to exceed 150km.
and you probably need a speed corrector as well.
im not sure it would be exactly safe to go that fast with a standard tail shaft. best off upgrading to a tickford one. the standard ones tend to let go.

as for the turbo, the dev 5 tends to work really well with forced setups. either way unless you get a flashtune or aftermarket performance ecu, the ecu will be lost making only a fraction of the power it could

aftermaket ecu is a must with high comp boosted engine, it will also save your speed limiter problem

i replied to your pm to.

thanks guys.
i havnt ran it down the quater 4 a couple of months but b4 it ran 14.9 but about 3/4 track it would hit the speed limiter.
as for the tail shaft n speed iwas jus going to put tailshaft loops on.
