hey all...i have an AUII Fairmont Ghia 5ltr.

i was told that i can put my dash into diagnostic mode....just wondering if thats true and if it is...can someone please tell me how to do it?

sorry i'm not sure how to put it in diagnostic mode but i'm pretty sure your dash can be changed.

For my BA there's a tool which plugs in somewhere but au's?

There is a doco in tech section, you use the trip meter button to do it.
It brings up extra gauges & displays eg volt meter, digital speedo, fuel level in litres, litres/100km av, litres/100km real time etc...
Not really a diagnostic tool.

ive just bought a book on this very subject on ebay. It was only $5 so i thought what the hell, it claims to be able to show you how to run diagnostics through your dash. ill let you know how it goes

Not threadmining, but was wondering if you could give us that update? Im trying to figure out how to display the DTC codes as well
