id be looking for spare boxes boys
Ea gearboxes are known not to be the best
They have a 4bolt flywheel compared to the 6 bolts on later models and you will probably have synchro probs soon

Nothing wrong with ea boxes apart from being a little older, which means more wear on them i guess.

EA boxes have a 3 bolt flywheel and slightly smaller clutch, but the later model 6 bolt flywheel and bigger clutch is a straight swap over which is what i did the other week.

And yes its the best mod you can do..... now fit some 3.7 diff gears in

nice work markwright, now all you need to do is take it to the track and try to break into the 17 second barrier haha joking mate. interesting to see weather manual lane could take a auto falcon

haha well yeh i bloody hope it beats 17 :|
i had a 6 bolt flywheel too, and previous owner of the bunky said it had a heavyduty(maybe s**t) clutch not so long ago, i beleive him about the "not so long ago" as it had loads of meat on the clutch plate AFTER i thrashed it to the city from kwinana haha.
syncros are probably going. i need to adjust the cable a bit better.. pedals too high but thers still bulk travel before the friction point..
after i save a bit of cash i might invest in gettin a later model box just for peace of mind and probly a bit more poke. maybe a 6button clutch or something :)

il be going down next wednesday to find out! (ill be reading all the tips too :P)
same night goin up against a mate in an auto vt bombadore.. exagerators and sports zorst and lowered suspension..

oh ill be there lancey!
with enough notice i always wanna help :D
none of my mates trust me to do cashys for them  asses
