I have a fuel pump here ready to install but I'm not sure what destroyed my previous one so I want to clear some things up before installing it.
What is the ohm reading meant to be for the fuel pump wiring plug in the boot? I tested with a multimeter and it's 16 ohms. Is that what it's meant to be? |

Not to mention the left stop light is out and the center one is too with the bulb casing been melted. The right one is still working.
All these are part of the same loom which points to over volting or a bad earth. What would cause this loom to carry too much current? Also where is the earth point for this loom? |

sorry i can't help you with specifics of the wiring but i'd be using the multimeter to check for bad earths and shorts as a starting point.
