gday bunter
ive run 2 x 2" flex hoses from the bottom of the airbox through the inner guard down below the front bumper and i used a old au snorkle cut down and turned upside down.. the thing i noticed was when im on the move 60km onwards the throttle responce has improved.. i guess that from the cooler air being forced into the bottom snorkle..

sorry
there the only ones i can find at the moment. i pretty much got a 2"hole saw for steel and drilled through the airbox straight through the inner guard right next to each other at the front of the air box.. then removed the airbox and cleaned up the mess painted the metal and put it back together.. the only down side is the hoses are siliconed into the lower half of the airbox so if i ever need to remove the lower airbox i need to cut away at the silicon.. also im not sure if you have abs as it may get in the way of the hoses.. im hoping to come to harrys at livo this week so if your going you could check it out for your self? |

actually water rarely seems to get up there..
ive driven through 2 foot of water on a slightly flooded road and halfway through i thought oh no i could be in trouble here! after i got through i took a look and there was some moisture in the bottom of the airbox but the filter was dry.. also there is a small drain hole in the bottom of the airbox. so i just drilled a extra drain hole just in case. other than that its never got water in the airbox even after driving in the rain on the freeway.. the only downside sometimes you might suck up or catch a few leaves but they just sit in the airbox and the filter gets dirty a little quicker than before.. i check the filter and airbox every time i do a oil change and the most ive found was a couple of small leaves.. |
