i was wondering if the switch that comes standard in the falcon sedans to open the boot can be done on the s/wagon. i put the switch in and connected the loom and when i press it i hear something working behind the dashboard like when ur indicators are on? Can this be done at all? Are there any other extra components needed to have the interior switch unlock the boot so you dont always have to use the latch?

As far as I know, Ford changed the rear tailgate locking setup from the EF onwards. The EF-EL tailgates have the standard smartlock central locking motor/actuator as the doors and the tailgate is locked/unlocked the same time as the doors. I know this as I have a EF dash that is re-wired into a ED wagon and I too asked this question to myself.
