Whats the downside of not running a blow off valve?
Will it be bad for spooling time as the air rushing back through the impeller.

Also if i did get one I want just one big dump of air, a sneeze. dont like the whistling noise some of them have.
anybody got some sounds of theres in a video and the type and size they have?

Just run a plumb back BOV it won't make the noise. the noise can vary depending on the brand type and trumped fitted for atmospheric ones. Noise also varies depending on vehicle fitted to and whats making the boost on that vehicle.

it will be a turbo on about 7psi of boost.
with the plumback, i plumb it back before the turbo after the pod filter?
and with that could I use a hose or does it have to be pipe.
is there any size thats too small for my car?

i use a factory BA/F XR6T BOV ... its the black plastic Bosch type

currently i have it venting to atmosphere cos im lazy. so it sneezes kinda
went its plumb-back it will be quiet

you want the BOV as close to the throttle body as possible.
and to plumb it back, it goes betweent the pod and the turbo

Where have you got yours mounted mate? If it's close to the t/b, how are you planning to run the return lines to plumb it back? I'm getting the same done, but just can't see how they'll do the pipework neatly.

You can see it plumbs back and atmosphere's as I run a two stage set up.

Without a BOV the forced air is forced back pas the turbine creating the 'dose' or 'flutter'. it also slows the turbo down, so boost takes longer make boost.

Plumb back first, the under big vacuum it dumps it into the atmosphere.
