Gday all,
i have heard that the EL ECU has better mapping than the EF, is this true, are there any gains to be had by putting an EL ECU in my EF?

no.
the el ecu will not fit into ef as el runs a dizzy and ef has coil pack ignition.
also the ef ecu has 100 pins and the el has 60 pins..

so unless you want to change the wire loom it wont fit..

also the only advantage of using a el ecu with the dizzy is you can advance your base ignition timing a few deg to get a little more go..
