I have just inherited a stock BA XT series 1 auto 6 cyld. with 220Kms on the clock. I was wondering where the best performance gains are found with a budget of $2000 - $3000. Thankyou for your time, your advice is much appreciated.

XR6T upper snorkel Snorkel, typhoon lower - $100
Exhaust/extractors/hi flow cat - $1000
Flash tune - $650 + Dyno time - $1000

That should get you some good power. But id put your money into a new diff.. with 3.9 gears in it. A member here got his doen for $2300 and he reckons his acceleration is HEAPS better.

Mickbethany,
Welcome to Fordmods,
As the others say and in that order ie. air inlet, exhaust then tune. Diff options are good too, check them out after you've got it tuned.
Cheers,
Paul

usualy always better off trading straight up to the xr6 turbo... turbo engine is built properly to handle boost from the factory..

Thanks to all, It looks prety conclusive, will be checking out extractors, exhaust and hi flow cat, then a tune. I have one more question,
Where would be the best place to get cold air inteke bits from?
Thanks again
