ok i got a couple more quotes and they just go crazy, one place wants to charge me 2600 for it, and the other 1850 and thats a normal replacement box and they wont reinforce the firewall but will swap the ecu, seems my best bet is to go with my first quote

You get what you pay for. The less you pay, the more worried you should be about the box's insides.

It cost me a grand total of $100 to put my manual in...but that's after selling my auto and the ECU which i couldn't use.

I reckon 1650 is a bit dear for a conversion with a new clutch. About 1200 is what I would pay.

phong =P~

how much did u sell your auto for???

oops missed this lol. Sold it for $220...was still in working condition and haven't heard back from the guy that bought it off me so I guess it is working fine :D. Also sold the manual EF ECU for $250 or something.

Well stalker, considering the amount of effort and work that is required to put the box in and if you know the quality of the box is in good condition as well as their service and the guy seems genuine (hard to tell at times), then I'd go with the guy who does his job for the love of cars and not just the money.
