ok the main earths are your battery negative post ,the earth cable to your engine and the negative post to chassis earth. There is also the engine to chassis earth, usually at the rear of the motor.Earlier Fords had 5/6 smaller wires terminating at the negative post .And of course you shouldn't forget the earths inside the cabin which are usually mounted at the ends of the dash board .Because of cost saving measures starter and earth cables are the bare minimum to run your car's electrics so it is usually a good idea to replace them with heavier duty items and to also replace your battery positive cable which runs to your alternator. The amount of times I have seen stereo cables that are bigger than the start cables fitted to cars is worrying.Toclean your earths sandpaper and make sure they are tight, a spray with battery terminal protectant is always a good idea.I have seen on ebay multi point mounting terminals ,haven't used them but they are a thought.
