I just changed spark plug leads and the spark plugs now it idles s**t and i rest the computer too? any ideas? could i of got a dodgy lead? it idls as if there is a lead not pluged on.

last time that happened to me I took the leads off one at a time (insulate yourself) while the engine is idling..
if one of the leads made no difference when taken off, then that lead is dodgy.. (or the terminal in the dizzy.) |

okh i will have a crack what do you insulate yourself with? what is thick enough?

just used a rag.. but was wearing rubber boots and didn't touch the body of the car while I was doing it..
probably overkill.. zooted myself heaps of times and while being uncomfortable.. it isn't gonna kill a young man unless something else is wrong. |

lol i didnt insulate myself when i did it, just keep your hand away from the base of the lead and you should be sweet

Check to make sure your leads are on the right cylinders. and your coil lead is on right ( aclassic prob cause noone can be bothered to get under the car to connect it properly.

153624 is the correct firing order on i6 from memory.
#1 should be marked on the dizzy.. incorrect firing order usually does more than just idle abit rough. |
