next month im buying a falcon still under warranty.

what can i do that wont affect warranty?

im mainly talking about cosmetic upgrades (tint, rims, lowering) due to it being a daily...

does upgrading the exhaust affect the whole car or just the exhaust's warranty?

and ive heard about a 140kmh "record" on the ecu, which appears open the diagnostic readout (during servicing) that Ford can use to void warranty?
(which kinda sucks for racing at the Plex)

never heard of that speed thing. and be careful as another mods member had thier engine waranty voided on their xr8 due to an exhaust. cosmetic changes dont really effect anything. tint is ok, as are wheels. depends on the dealer a little too.

speak to the dealer about it. when my brother got his VY commo new he put a full exhaust on it within a few months and there was no problems.

but yeah, have heard stories of people getting shafted cause of exhausts

if it was me id be getting onto fords headoffice in melb and asking them what mods will void the warranty and asking them to print out a letter stating what mods wont void the warranty so if anything goes pear shaped you can throw that letter back in their face.

around May ... but im putting my order in :)

and millard, thats a good idea
but the only mod i see happening is rims (asap :P), tint and lowering
maybe exhaust to get that throaty V8 sound :D

but my aim is to keep it stock... since its gonna be my daily and i dont wanna have to spend every week working on it. unlike the EF which takes all my time, and i cant work on the ute as a result

Get them to install some extractors & free flows upon order as "costumer request", if thats possible. :P

Thats one thing ford should use as option.

With my SS, i have extractors on the system and one of the cats collapsed. They wouldnt replace it under warranty because it had been modified. So i asked if my gearbox had shat itself or my motor dropped a cylinder what would happened with having the extractors on it and they said nothing. they would replace/fix it.
