With the following precedure
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=48 As the ED is not a digital dash do u have to count how many times the ABS light will flash or is there somewhere it actually displays a number like " 74"- "There is a continuity fault with the wiring for the Wheel sensor - (No Signal)". Where do u actually view the codes and how would u read the 3 codes it holds one by one. Ford are no help and mechanics keeps saying u need a scanner tool.

Should probably listen to the mechanics
I think you can get the scan tools off ebay.. not 100% on that though. |

did u even read the link? quote- "This document describes the ABS Error codes for the Bendix LC5 "Pump Back" ABS model, which was fitted to Ford EBII and ED Models, Ford Falcon, Fairmont, Fairlane, LTD, and XR series vehicles This information includes how to place the ABS into diagnostic mode, and how to read the codes without using a specialised Diagnostic connector" As i wrote in my post would u count how many times the ABS light flashes or does a number appear somewhere? It would be hard to keep count for example 46 flashes to find out "Left Front wheel speed sensor fault (Passenger Side)".
