i have twins on my el v8, the hardest part about a twin system on the e series is getting past the diff. i opted to run mine under the diff as my car is fairly low..

running twin 2.5's over the diff would have been considerably more difficult, however if you ran say twin 2" it would leave alot more space.
ring your local exhaust joint and have a chat, see what they recomend.

I'd be hoping for 2.25", can you remember how much space there is? You wouldnt happen to be planning on having your car on a hoist or anything in the near future would you?

sorry i try to keep my car off the hoist lol

depending how low your car is, there isnt much space at all. you couldnt really run rear resinators either (mine doesnt).

running over the diff will be very tight, but if you find youself a good exhaust joint they should be able to get it to clear.. (how much it would cost is another question)

going under there is alot more room, but it does pose its own problems ( ie jacking the car from anywhere other than the diff housing)

sorry i dont know how to be much more helpful..

I have a true dual on my LTD.

Cats to X member, muffler each side, over the diff through a 'hotdog' each the out.

The ED Sprint had this from factory.

Car isnt low at all, the SLS still works perfectly and enjoys jacking the car up to 4x4 ride height lol.

But in the future it will be fairly low.

Thanks for your help Mitch and LTDHO.
