my mates little brother has bought and intercooler from ebay.
he has a non turbo vn commodore and wants to have it intercooled he is asking me for advise but to be honest i have never heard of this and never even thought of this, but he wants to have it like the normal set up for a turbo except no turbo so piping connected to the throttle body to the intercooler, then a pod connected to the other side of the intercooler piping

sorry if this doesn't make much sense i didn't know any other way to explain this

lol somethings not right, but no it wont work, it will just create more restriction i would say, would get better low down due to longer piping i think.

ah that foto is awesome,

that setup must give at least 35hp extra, 20 for the intercooler and 15 for the pod !!

lmao

edit: "oh man just saw its a VTAK must do some mad skids bae"

^^ traditional kiwi honda vtec boy racer language - im guessing you guys have issues with them in oz too??

remove the intercooler on that photo, and the car would pick up power.

i put a big K&N pod (with 4" intake reduced at throttle body) in my XGs front bumper, made 10kw more on the dyno. was pretty happy with result :)

there was a bloke selling an el xr6 on ebay with a show interior that looked pretty nice with an intercooler. so i went looking for the turbo specs thinking it was a low mount but it didn't have one.
big lol, buy a turbo

the benefits of slightly cooler air is easily outweighed by the restriction.
Plus like, come on. It's already a holden it doesn't need more reasons for people to hate/laugh at it
