Hi,

well my 347 project is finished... but.. it doesn't start...

i've got FPV_GTP looking at a base map I have... but was curious if anyone else has a map for a V8 windsor with Distributor ignition?

I'd love to see the fuel/ignition map.. as I think that's where my problem is...

Cheers,

Damian

Is the base timing correct. When we did the conversion from Dissy to Coil packs had the same problem, getting the base timing right made all the difference. Good luck
Brett

Steady.... What modifications need to be made to the dizzy? keeping in mind it is an aftermarket Billet Unit (crane)

And Brett... I've set the base (I assume static) timing to 22 degree's.. which is what the wolf manual says to set it to..

Cheers,

Damian

It's covered really basically there, a post by TURBO_GHIA.
I haven't seen the mods myself, but I know "EL XR8" had something similar done with his dissy when he had his Wolf3D installed.

Ok...
I found out... my distributor doesn't need modifiying... as it has no weights..

I had missed the resistor to convert the 12V into 5V square wave... but now done that.

Still not starting...

Any one got any base maps I can look at to reference fuel and ignition points?

Brett..... what did you end up setting your base timing to?

Cheers,

My base timing is ten deg adv, and then the ECU controls all timing after it has started. But i did have to tell the ECU that base timing is 10 Deg, if you know what i mean

Ok...

I've set mine for 6 BTDC.... should still start at 6 though..

That's the starting rate ignition..

Then up to a total timing of 38 degrees.

Still asking for any maps with dizzy ignition?

I'm going mental here... and I realy want to get this to start... I've been in frequent communcation with FPV_GTP... who's been an absolute gem trying to get it to go....

Does anyone have a map I can look at?

Pretty please???

why not just setup a map with say 15degrees of timing across the board and a flat fuel rate across the board also... it should fire up and then you can tune it from there.. if you set it up with flat simple maps just to get it running atleast you can rule out any hardware issues?

Yep...

Tried that...

This is my problem...

I'm not getting spark every revolution.... (weird) but yet If I've tested the distributor with the hi-6 ignition (without the wolf)... perfect...

Which leads me to think my trigger setup, ignition & injector calibration is not correct...
