i used that black urathane (spelling) the same stuff that you use to glue windscreens in with. i just went to the windscreen shop and gave him $10 to put some glue on the trim and drove home and stuck it in. the glue doesnt set for a while.

I have just been quoted by a large Sydney Ford Dealership for the quarter windows for my EL.. you might wanna sit down first...... $182.50 each !! but to their defense they did say that they would not change any freight on them.

Part numbers are as follows

LH - EL F25831 A
RH - EL F25830 A

i think they might have already put postage on that as i paid $150 for the rh side one less than a month ago.

mix up some dish washing liquid and water in a squrtie bottle and spray that on the black glue before you start cutting as it helps make the glue softer. good luck mate, prick of a job.

also it would be worth getting some TRIM DREAM, this will stop the new trims going like the old ones did and it turns them nice and black.

I have a mate at work who used to fit windscreens in his previous job , he said he would change them over for me..

Just tried my local ford dealer out of interest to see what he would quote me for the windows...$160 each no freight charge, very strange how dealerships charge differently for same parts.

Yep it all depends on how much they generally mark up and whether they were giving you trade price.
I worked in a dealership (not a Ford one) which the parts manager marked up 40% or more, and it was hard to convince him to lower the markup for some expensive items where we would lose doing the job due to part price, and he lost the sale because the customer did the right thing and priced around.

The local ford dealer here puts a fair markup on their gear, but having said that i get everything with as little as 5% mark up as a mate works there. They usualy put about 30% on most items but if the customer is being an arrogant C*** they get higher mark up LOL

Ok I got the rear quarter windows thru my local Ford dealership this morning, will probably get my mate to fit them easter weekend. Would it be worthwhile me documenting this in case someone else wants to change over their quarter windows...

I just ordered the left and right rear windows they were $143.45 + GST from Lynford.

Happy with that price I think it works out at $157 each.
First things first will be the trim dream application.
