Firstly, thanks for a great forum. My fairmont ghia is doing weird things since I changed the climate control unit.
1. The door lock lights stay on 24/7.
2. The interior lights don't work.
3. Both the water lights are on when driving allthough both are full.
4. Cruise light stays on, been an issue for ever.
The car starts and drives normally but I figure it's only a matter of time before things start going pear shaped.
I've searched this forum and found simarlar problems relate to BEM or earth problems. We are planning a 2600+km trip the week after Easter so any help would be greatly appreciated.

maybe earth or does anyone have a smartlock module/bem and climate control that they know works spare for you to try.

smartlock module is red and eb/ed fairmont/fairmont ghia/fairlane bem is green and theyre seperate so just borrow the listed parts from someone if they have spares and if it wont work take it somewhere to be looked at.

because as for locks staying on its probably smartlock but take it somewhere to be looked at

Dude, thanks for the help, it's not the locks staying on but the courtesy lights behind the door locks. got another BEM gonna try it today.
