I currently have a dual fuel 5.0l V8 Fairlane with the tank mounted behind the back seat and was wanting to know if anyone has removed the petrol tank and go straight gas?

Is it possible to run 2 tanks?

Has anyone succesfully tried to fit 2 tanks and still keep a sizeable boot?

I am currently getting approx 330km out of 65 litres of gas but I think I should be getting better economy as my driving consists of 80kmh starght streches of road to work with no stops. Best economy I got was 400km on freeway out of 65L. How does this compare?

Thanks

U can still have the petrol tank and still have two lpg tanks,by fitting a dounut tank where the Spare tyres goes.

Also if U want to take the Petrol tank out,U can fit scuba tank size lpg tanks where the petrol tank sits.

petrol millleage has been covered before .
cheers

I would still like to keep the full size spare in the boot, so maybe these scuba tanks you are talking about could be suitable. Where can these be sourced from?

I have seen slimline donut tanks only 200mm in height, but they only hold about 35 - 40 litres.

in my wagons with the cut down petrol tank I am looking to fit a second small tank beside the main tank. I am also looking for a larger diameter gas tank as I think there is room for about 20 more litres capacity in the mounting box. I am aiming for about 100L os more.

I'm yet to see any tanks that can go in place of a EF/EL Fuel tank, the odd shape means there are issues getting tanks that fit.
not to mention the clearance issues between the tanks and the road.

Is it legal to have 2 tanks fitted to 1 car, and how can the second tank be connected? Where can this be done in Sydney?
Thanks
