Got a hole in the radiator so thought while i was replacing the radiator i would change the front engine seal as it was hard, brittle and seemed to be leaking and spraying oil up the timing cover.... replaced them no drama
BUT know it seems to be idling wierd i havn't eyed the blancer to see if "wobbly" as it is raining in good ole'dubvages and my weekly shower is three days away no need to bring it on early.... (LOL) any way could this be a sign of the balancer dieing and also can reco units be brought if so peoples experiances and prices thanks,,

what model car??? EF & AU have a crank sensor on the front.. also if you disconnected the battery it takes it a while to relearn where idle is. let it warm up a little and try again

It shouldn't really make the car idle crap...it should only throw belts or gives you bad timing reading.
I'd say ECU needs to relearn idle if the battery had been removed. Give it a week and it should idle better. If not you might have a vacuum leak maybe? phong =P~

after my engine swap... my ED motor idled really badly... then after about a week, it all came good.
if it isn't a vacuum leak.. then just wait for a bit and see if it improves. |
