Hey,
may be a dumb question but just wondering. Im making a sub box with the recomended volume 35.4 liters. Is that volume the inside of the box without the sub in place? Or do you need to find what the sub takes up and add that to the volume? If the makes any sense I did a search but found nothing. Thanks

pretty sure without since thats how we made our speakers in year 12 design and tech class if that is of any use... mind you as long as it is roughly the right size im sure the extra liter under wont do too much to the sound quality

ok thanks for that.
It would make more sense for it to be without I guess. Makes it alot easier

If that volume is the value recommended by the manufacturer of your woofer than they have already deducted the space taken up by your woofer hence they then advise the value you have mentioned for the box -- empty
