does anyone bother to do the proper relearn procedure?

Id like to know what the procedure actually is if anyone knows it...its something like

1. engine running in D, idle, 1 min
2. eng off, ign on throttle full open 1 min (is this in D or P????)

dont know the rest

anyone???

i do mine idleing in drive then in park.

never done it with the trans in drive,,the key on engine off part.

do u keep the pedal down then turn off the ign or can u release the pedal then turn it off?

First time ive heard of this relearn procedure.

After a reset i just drive as per normal and it sorts itself out, never had a problem?

its to let the ecu know the tps values,and it does work.

not sure what you mean, as the tps values are programmed into the ecu regardless.

Between 0.55 and 0.85 volts is idle, and +4 volts is full throttle.

Only thing thing that i can think of that takes a while to relearn is isc values?

it more or less lets the ecu know throttle closed and throttle wide open and it then varies the values to suite.

my mechanic advised me to do it or more than one occasion
