hi, just out of curiosity what would one have to do to replace the tail lights on a ea with the later eb/ed type tail lights. is it just a straight swap or is there more to it.
cheers in advance

The wiring looms are different, as the set up of the rear lights are different.

so is replacing the tail light looms as easy as plug n play or do you have to cut and solder the wires.

the lights will bolt in no probs, but you will have no Reverse lights and the loom is diffrent for the reverse lights in the EA tail lights.
you can get the bootlid harness and replace the bootlid with a EB/ED one with the rear garnish that has the reverse lights in it. im sure the break/parkers and the blinkers use the same plug so you can use them in the EB tail lights, just have to add the harness for the boot lid. you can mod your bootlid to take a EB/ED garnish. bit of cutting for that.
