My gearbox is up for replacing and are looking at putting some $$$ into my beast to be. What type of gearbox does she have - is it a T5 or something? Is this able to handle some mods? Would I be better have the current one refurbished or getting a 'new' one? How much?

Thanks guys!

If its manual, They're a T5.

If you have a Later model EB, then you Should have a world class T5, Slightly better than a EA-EB1.

Providing you look after them, they can handle a fair amount of power, eg. 150-160rwkw.

Hell they could handle 300kw if mothered.

A good rebuilt box should last a while, its all how you treat it.

Reco = $700-1000
New (N/A) if sourced $1500ish

Upgrade - $3000+

Would an EF/EL gearbox go into an EB? What if the EB had an EF/EL engine?

If your after putting some money into it why not try a supra t5 box with a custom bell housing to fit your ea.
