This weekend I pulled the cluster out and removed the offender,, little cog, with one tooth missing...

Since I have taken the cluster out (waiting to get the cog) , driving the falcon I have now noticed that from stop it will start in 3rd--- and on the open road it doesn't feel like it is engaging in 4th at all...i'm hoping that this is to do with having the cluster out, as maybe it is in limp home mode??? never had probs with gear box until I drove it with the speedo out. Is the electronic trans linked to the cluster?? any idea's? ( at the moment I'm moving through the gears using the selector).

Any one have any idea of what the prob is???? I hope it's only a easy fix small electrical??

id say the speed signal is not being sent to the ecu
