You'll probably find that you've done something to your pump due to wear and tear over the years and km's and then the sudden high rev nature of hanging it out sideways........
How many k's on the car? If not the pump, then again, due to the high rev (high pressure nature) of the driving it might've damaged a valve in the speed sensitive rack. Rebuilt rack is not cheap for those I think!!!

hmm well it seems to have just been kinda like a bruise, it went away and i have my assisstance back its a bit strange lol

alfy wrote: hmm well it seems to have just been kinda like a bruise, it went away and i have my assisstance back its a bit strange lol i blew my rack on xmas eve 2 years ago,at 240k.rang a mate in sydney and booked in for 1-30pm.drove 100 ks with no power steer,fitted a non sensor rack in v8----same,finished 4-30 and cost 200 fitted,we had a problem with tie rod ends 14mm,16mm the v8 runs 16mm,all els are 16mm.reco racks where 120 exchange,ford-holden.
